The Ayudhya Insurance was founded on October 7th, 1950 to operate non-life insurance businesses, including fire, marine, motor insurance and other non-life insurance products. In 1987, the Company became a listed company on the SET (Stock Exchange of Thailand).

In 1994, The Ayudhya Insurance changed its name to ‘The Ayudhya Insurance Public Company Limited’ (Symbol on the SET: AYUD) and has existing registered capital of Bht. 500 million with paid up capital of Bht. 250 million.

In 2002, and 2003, AYUD won ‘The Disclosure Award’ from the Office of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for its transparency in disclosing information on the company’s operations.

From 2003 to 2006, AYUD was awarded the 3rd place in ‘Best Management Award’ by The Office of Insurance Commission, or OIC (formerly known as the Department of Insurance) for its outstanding management practices. In 2007 and 2008, AYUD was awarded the first place in the ‘Best Management Award’ category for two consecutive years.

For the past 60 years, the underpinning philosophy behind our service is based on integrity, fairness, and sincerity. The Company continues to operate its business with financial integrity and responsibility to ensure stability and growth, with the focus on providing superior customer service.

Presently, AYUD employs over 350 staff and has total assets of more than Bht. 6,000 million. The head office is located at 898, 7th Floor, Ploenchit Tower, Ploenchit Road, Lumpini, Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330.
